Come visit the Old Erie Canal in its winter splendor. This trail gets a lot of use and can be very icy and slick, so consider bringing yak trax or micro spikes just in case. All of the park caches on this stretch are zip tied in a winter friendly manner, on the north side of the canal trail. They are only a few feet off the trail, but there is a steep drop off, so be careful of your footing. Each of the letterbox caches has a stamp inside the container and is located at the posted coords. Please leave the stamp inside. . . it is not swag. Although these are letterbox caches, there is no passport to stamp in the winter, and no coin to earn. The caches are there for your enjoyment. Parking information is on OEC1.
