This Gadget cache contains a log sheet. Year's ago i lived in Mt.Tom Village,Mass (yes,it actually was a town-later absorbed by Easthampton) off of East St near route 5. It was there where my landlady next door told me about the history of the village and about the little red schoolhouse that was on East St (foundation is still there). She also informed me that when route 91 was built , 17 homes were demolished including her childhood home in which she was born in. On route 5 across the street from East St was The Dorman's Cafe next to a small train station (both long before i came around). She had told me that she use to take the train to work (Fisk tire in Chicopee) and back for 10 cents each way. Dorman's Cafe she said is where all the disgruntled husbands would go to get liquored up and come home drunk. I lived at the end of Underwood Avenue for 3 year's before i couldn't take the rte 91 noise anymore and moved( i could have under handed a baseball onto rte 91 from my front steps!) Awful! Having the north face of Mt. Tom in my backyard was cool though. I thought that i'd build a gadget cache based on the little red schoolhouse as she described it as a 1 room all in one.
