This is a tribute to AlCoGo who recently passed away
It is placed by katcogo - his wife and sidekick for 48 years
As some of you know, the "So Long and Thanks For All The Fish" is a reference to the 4th book in The Hitchhiker's Guide to The Galaxy by Douglas Adams.
It is the message left by the dolphins when they departed Planet Earth just before it was demolished to make way for a hyperspace bypass. Yes, it has a bit of a cult following
Like many geocachers, most of what I know about the HHGTTG I learned from Geocaching
I do know that AlCoGo loved life and was fond of fishing. Those were not his last words but he had a great sense of humour and would get a good laugh to have this as his epitaph.
He loved beer and he loved telling stories, many which got better with the telling (the truth was in there somewhere). We are starting a TB "AlCoGo's Continuing Adventures" in this cache hoping it will travel to pubs where cachers can have a pint and tell or hear a good story.
We have asked to have this pubished at the end of his Final Farewell gathering where friends and family will have a toast and celebrate his life, held in the Royal Canadian Legion at this location.
