What is the winter solstice? It’s the astronomical moment when the Sun reaches the Tropic of Capricorn, we have our shortest day and longest night of the year in the Northern Hemisphere. The Winter solstice is also considered the 'rebirth of the Sun' as it marks the shortest amount of daylight hours. If you were in the Arctic Circle, you would be treated to what is called Polar night when night lasts for more than 24 hours!!! 😳
Join me for a flash mob event to celebrate the fact that the daylight for our caching adventures will be getting longer from this day forward!!! 🌞 The actual Winter Solstice this year is 4:48pm so we can celebrate right on time!! 😎
