This is another cache to encourage you to cycle or walk the Twin Coast Cycle Track. You can start it at Opua, Taumarere, Kawakawa, Kaikohe, Okaihau or even Horeke if you want a multi day cycle.
The train used to come along this section from Kawakawa to Opua but the bridge was no longer strong enough for the train. I understand it was fixed but unfortunately another flood brought a big log down and damaged the structures poles.
