Linia kolejowa Chojnów - Złotoryja została utworzona 15 września 1906 roku, a uruchomiona 1 grudnia 1906 roku. Linia była użytkowana przez 85 lat aż do 8 lutego 1991 kiedy zamknięto ruch pasażerski, a 11 lat później w 2002 roku zamknięto także ruch towarowy. W 2004 roku na wiosnę został przez "kogoś" rozebrany wiadukt nad drogą w Brochocinie, brak odcinka torów pod autostradą A4 (niby miał zostać uzupełniony), wyjęty rozjazd w Budziwojowie. Reszta linii jest (w sierpniu 2004 była) kompletna, acz zarosnięta. (info: Tomasz Korycki)
Wycięte tory od strony Brochocina na stacji w Zagrodnie (info:werty, kwiecień 2005). Od dnia 13 sierpnia 2012 rozpoczęła się fizyczna likwidacja linii. Na dzień 26 sierpnia 2012 rozebrano tor na odcinku od mostu na rzece Skora do wiaduktu pod DK94 w Chojnowie.
Dzisiaj tory już nie istnieją. Na miejscu dawnej linii miała powstać ścieżka pieszo-rowerowa ciagnąca się aż do miasta Złotoryja, ale z powodu braku porozumienia między burmistrzami obu miast (głownie z winy Jana Serkiesa) ścieżka nigdy nie powstała.
Dzisiaj most który pozostał po dawnym torowisku jest popularnym miejscem spacerowym i częstym miejscem spotkań młodzieży - a także meneli, sądząc po ilości butelek i śmieci pod mostem.

The Chojnów - Zlotoryja railway line was established on 15 September 1906 and opened on 1 December 1906. The line was in use for 85 years until 8 February 1991 when passenger traffic was closed, and 11 years later in 2002 freight traffic was also closed. In 2004, in the spring, the viaduct over the road at Brochocin was demolished by "someone", a section of track under the A4 motorway was missing (supposedly to be completed), and the turnout at Budziwojów was removed. The rest of the line is (in August 2004 was) complete, albeit overgrown. (info: Tomasz Korycki)
Removed tracks from the Brochocin side at the station in Zagrodno (info:werty, April 2005). The physical decommissioning of the line began on 13 August 2012. As of 26 August 2012, the track from the bridge over the River Skora to the viaduct under the DK94 in Chojnów was demolished.
Today the track no longer exists. A pedestrian and cycle path was supposed to be built on the site of the former line, stretching all the way to the town of Zlotoryja, but due to a lack of agreement between the mayors of the two towns (mainly through the fault of Jan Serkies), the path never came into being.
Today, the bridge that remains of the former trackbed is a popular place for walks and a frequent meeting place for young people - and also for bums, judging by the amount of bottles and rubbish under the bridge.
