Merry Christmas Allyn (ALBUS) Birch!!! HO HO HO!!!
Over the last year and half or so Albus has kept us busy with the LIVCO200 and the New Harry Potter series around the area. We have worked puzzles and snake ciphers, creeped around on our backs in the mud looking for waypoints, hiked up hills that seemed like they would never end and along the way he has shown us some amazing places and interesting dots of history we would have never seen without him.
And as the owner of caches we all know that there seems to always be a maintenance run you have to take and you spend more time placing and maintaining caches than finding them. At a recent BeeHive breakfast Albus mentioned he would love to have a few caches placed near him that weren’t his, maybe a chance for a ftf even.
Well that got my brain a thinking. I am not one to come up with ciphers about slithering snakes or multis where one needs to climb a mountain ( some of those hills seemed like mountains to me, ha).
But....I can hide a Traditional cache with the best of them. Now this (these) caches may be publishing during the season on Santa and Merry Times so Merry Christmas Albus Birch -- I am placing a few close to your home this festive holiday season. HO HO HO. Thank you for all you give to the caching community.
But....you did make me decipher snake language, YOU know what you hid in that one cache final for me to find, you DID put of a night cache into the Forbidden Forest, the LIVCO200 published in that heatwave of 2021 (not Albus’s fault but I’m going with it)..and so many other twists but I won’t post spoilers here. No crazy terrains or feats needed to make these finds but I am adding a small annoyance for you on each -- publishing them when you are at work or still waking up on Christmas morning -- now get going and look for the caches.
Albus Burch will NOT have previous knowledge of the hides... who will get ftf?
Since it is Christmas season -- all the cache containers have a Christmas theme to them.
Each cache has a new trackable attached or with the log book for the FTF.
