This is the 16th of the Dartmoor Tors monthly events as announced and discussed in the Dartmoor Geocaching FB group and is one of "remote" tors. However this is only 1.8 miles from the recommended parking and is not a difficult walk.
On our last "remote" tor event in November we had some mixed weather but mainly sunny and the event was well attended with both regulars and some not so regular. Let's hope for a lovely day and perhaps we will be able to welcome more to their first Dartmoor Tors Event.
As discussed these events will alternate between "remote" tors, more than a mile from the nearest logical parking and "more accessible" tors, less than a mile. As it is now winter I have again restricted those tors that go into the "remote" pot to be drawn and only included those tors which are a relatively short distance from the parking.
At each event the location for the event 2 months ahead will be chosen. All events will be held on the 3rd Sunday of each month at 12:00 noon. This will allow for the events to be incorporated into a much longer walk should you so decide.
PARKING: This event is very accessible with parking in a large car park just off the A386 almost opposite the turning to Lydford.
Please remember that the weather on Dartmoor can change suddenly and unexpectedly and ALL types of weather conditions can be experienced. Please ensure that you have the correct clothing.
