Since nobody uses banknotes any more perhaps the huge compound is finding supplementary rationales for existence. It also prints VAT invoices and securities. Though the company profile doesn't mention it, perhaps the huge factory also prints backnotes for export.
The high security banknote printing company compound follows a 'security by obscurity' approach, with its name not evening appearing on Baidu Maps, though the building outlines are shown. It was built primarily in 2020, with some early preparatory site clearing in 2019 and finishing touches added in 2021, before fully opening in 2022. 2021 was also when the blueway here was built, with additional landscaping work (lighting, primarily) ongoing into late 2022.
