To the west is yet another development by Vanke, the huge property developer based in Shenzhen and with the Shenzhen Metro as its major shareholder. It's hard to keep track of all the Vanke City developments by number, but often easy enough to distinguish the individual ones by sight. Despite the huge scale, the developments have included some by architects given a free reign to design and build some quirky elements including working with existing topography and natural features and providing irregular angles, sightlines, balconies and interior walkways and stairs. Though they are mostly gated residential-only compounds (though often with public facing retail usually at the ground level), the non-cookie-cutter approach to real estate development is a welcome touch.
To the east is a cluster of highrises built on top of the Line 6 metro depot.
The bridge here was built in 2021 and is not going to win any architectural or design prizes. It has a wide walkway but no weather protection so this cache is best grabbed quickly!
