Geocache Description:

This geocache is one of a trilogy of "Dog" multis, the others two being GCA3ENM and GCAWM1E.

This is a very simple 2 stage multi-cache, based on the dog park at the bend of Lonsdale Avenue, in North Vancouver. The dog park was created when most of the area to the east of it was redeveloped from an old Telus facility to new apartments. It is a very busy area, but the park is popular with local dog owners who need an off-leash alternative to nearby Victoria Park. There are multiple transit routes right next to the area, and street parking around the neighbourhood area if you drive. Of course, if you have a dog, bring it with you, so it can socialize while you collect clues for the cache. The dog off-leash enclosure is open from 8 AM to 8 PM. There are a few other caches close to this one, so you may be wagging your tail more than once !

The cache is not at the posted coordinates. The clues for finding the cache are all located around the perimeter of the dog park. Some clues are inside the off leash enclosure, but visible from outside, so you do not have to enter. Each clue is described below (letters A through F). Each clue you find will give you numbers which you can match to the appropriate missing digits, for finding the final coordinates.

FINAL COORDINATES = N49 19.ABC W123 04.DEF

Clue A = The number of concrete dog tunnels inside the dog enclosure.

Clue B: On the sign for the Grizzly bear sculpture, add up all the digits of the date on the last line of text.

Clue C: The number of covered shelter areas around this park which are painted red underneath.

Clue D: The number of flat concrete cylinders inside the dog enclosure minus the number of turf-covered concrete humps inside the enclosure.

Clue E: The number of metal bike loops outside the north side of the enclosure, near the Grizzly.

Clue F: The number of big steel boxes outside the east side of the enclosure.

(CHECKSUM: If you got all the answers correct, the sum total of all your answers should add up to 19.)

As you will see, it is not far away. The cache itself is a tiny object hidden in another public, easily accessible place. Use stealth please, when there are any people around. The hint contains more specific information on the hide, and since this is a easy cache, it is meant to be used.

You might need tweezers to remove the log sheet. There is no room in the container for anything else but the log sheet, so please use care when removing that or rolling it back up into the container.
