This cache is located in Red Robe Park, one of many parks in Thief River Falls. At this site in the confluence of the Red Lake River and Thief River. Red Lake River is one of Minnesota's primary rivers, draining a vast portion of northwestern Minnesota with its source at Lower Red Lake. The park features a state of Meskokonaye/Red Robe, the son of Ojibwe Chief Moose Dung. Red Robe took on his father's name, Moose Dung, and was subsequently known as both. The sign at the foot of Red Robe has some inaccuracies according to the Red Lake Nation.
