This is in a area behind "Slipper Island" that the local water skiing club uses once in a while for slalom and water skiing jump contest. Slipper Island is a berm made of coral rocks that were dredged when they dug the lagoon for the Pan AM Clipper sea planes in the 1940's.
Be sure to carry some drinking water and check the tides before paddling out.
