Mr. Waldo “The Bee” Weatherbee was the fictional school principal at Riverdale High in the Archie comics, first appearing in March 1942. He was a former Marine known for his large waistline and a wispy toupee. Even though he was generally helpful and friendly to the students, he was also one of Archie’s greatest nemesis – often resulting in detention for Archie.
Some stories described Weatherbee as a having been a good athlete when he was in high school, excelling in football and baseball. Contrary to his authoritarian image as principal, he was known as “Wild Wally” when he was younger. He was also quite the explorer in one of the comics, discovering some Malooka Indian relics.
It’s not known whether Weatherbee ever discovered any geocaches, but he would undoubtedly have enjoyed any distraction that got him away from Archie and the other annoying students of Riverdale. Also, his wild side indicates he may have had a bit of an evil streak in him at one point… This cache is meant to reflect Weatherbee’s role as principal and his slightly wild/evil past. As a Marine, he would say, “No cache left unfound!”
This just leaves you asking, “Where’s Waldo?”
