There's a new series on the Heritage Trail called "Bridges-N-Benches." BUT! They're separated by some distance. That means there are holes to fill in with caches. With a nod to geocacher halemeister's "Whizbang" trail in Rockford, Illinois, I'm placing a bunch of straightforward caches in between. The same type and color of container is being used and they're all hidden in a Winter-Friendly way. That makes 'em perfect for cachers who wanna add a few more smileys to their inventory any day of the year.
Throw-downs are discouraged. If you can't find the cache after a 1-minute search, it's probably missing. Please record the DNF and I'll get out there quickly to replace the container. Trust me, I've got plenty of replacements!
Also, the Heritage Trail is "pay-to-play" with remote kiosks placed along its length. It's only $2 and the money goes right back into trail maintenance and improvements, a really inexpensive way to enjoy a day outdoors! Thank you in advance for your patronage.
