Macomb County Millennium Challenge Mystery Cache

Macomb County, Michigan is a county in the eastern portion of Michigan that is part of the Detroit-Warren-Dearborn, MI Metropolitan Statistical Area (also known as Metro Detroit). Macomb County contains 27 cities, townships, and villages, including three of the top ten most-populus municipalities as of the 2010 census (#3 Warren, #4 Sterling Heights, and #10 Clinton Township).

Macomb County is well-known as being a geocaching hub in the state of Michigan. For a brief period of time, the Roseville/Eastpointe area was konwn as 'Cacheville' due to the high amount of geocaches available for cachers to find (pictured is local cacher Tonybrost with a 'Cacheville' sign at his Community Celebration event in 2010 celebrating the 10-year anniversary of Geocaching). With that being said, there have been a lot of caches to find in Macomb County over the years. Heck, we are lucky enough to have the geocacher with the 8th most hides in the United States living in the county - gsix5666!

The Challenge

In order to qualify to log this cache as found, you must have found 1,000 caches (also known as a millennium) in Macomb County, MI. All past finds are eligible towards this challenge. While there is an abundance of caches in the county, it will take some determination and persistence over the course of years to achieve this challenge. Please use the Project-GC checker provided to determine if you qualify. In additional to claiming the cache as found, you must physically sign the log and post your qualifications in your log within one week of your found date; if these requirements are not met, your log will be deleted. The cache itself is a 1.5/1.5, but the challenge itself is 5.0/4.0.
