Ya que el amor me trajo a la isla, aprovechamos y vamos dejando algunos cachés. Este mirador nos llamó la atención ante las espectaculares vistas que tiene de Valle Gran Rey.
Este es un punto curioso a nivel histórico, porque debajo de la hermita hay una higuera con historia: Para el racionamiento de agua, los habitantes del Valle Alto tenían derecho a usar agua hasta que la sombra de la montaña llegara hasta esta higuera. Cuando la higuera quedaba en penumbra, era el momento de los habitantes del Valle Bajo de emplear este escaso recurso.
En 1948, Valle Bajo denunció que sus vecinos de arriba estaban superando el límite de agua permitido, y se levantaron practicamente en pie de guerra. Hubo un juicio que ganaron los de Valle Alto, quienes habían prometido construír una iglesia a Santo Antonio si vencían. Esta iglesia es fruto de esa promesa.

Since love introduced me to the island, we left some caches. This viewpoint caught our attention due to the spectacular views it has of Valle Gran Rey.
This is a curious point at a historical level, because under the hermitage there is a fig tree with history: For the rationing of water, the inhabitants of Valle Alto had the right to use water until the shadow of the mountain reached this fig tree. When the fig tree was left in shadow, it was time for the inhabitants of the Lower Valley to use this scarce resource.
In 1948, Valle Bajo denounced that its neighbors from above were exceeding the allowed water limit, and practically rose up on a war footing. There was a lawsuit won by those from Valle Alto, who had promised to build a church in Santo Antonio if they won. This church is the fruit of that promise.

Da mich die Liebe auf die Insel gebracht hat, nutzen wir den Vorteil und hinterlassen einige Caches. Dieser Aussichtspunkt erregte unsere Aufmerksamkeit aufgrund der spektakulären Aussicht auf das Valle Gran Rey.
Dies ist auf historischer Ebene ein kurioser Punkt, denn unter der Einsiedelei steht ein Feigenbaum mit Geschichte: Für die Rationierung des Wassers hatten die Bewohner des Valle Alto das Recht, Wasser zu verwenden, bis der Schatten des Berges diesen Feigenbaum erreichte. Als der Feigenbaum im Schatten blieb, war es für die Bewohner des Lower Valley an der Zeit, diese knappe Ressource zu nutzen.
Im Jahr 1948 prangerte Valle Bajo an, dass seine Nachbarn von oben die zulässige Wassergrenze überschritten, und erhob sich praktisch auf Kriegsfuß. Es gab eine Klage, die von denjenigen aus Valle Alto gewonnen wurde, die versprochen hatten, eine Kirche in Santo Antonio zu bauen, wenn sie gewinnen würden. Diese Gemeinde ist die Frucht dieser Verheißung.
