Geocache Description:

The Keuka Lake Outlet Trail runs about 7 miles from Keuka Lake in Penn Yan to Seneca Lake in Dresden, alongside the Keuka Outlet.  The trail began as a towpath along the outlet for transporting grain, and was eventually converted to a railway before finally returning to the trail we now enjoy.  Along the trail, walkers can see a number of waterfalls, the site of many former mills, "Turtle Pond", and many other sights.  Today, the Outlet Trail is enjoyed by locals and visitors alike as they walk, bike, ad ride its beautiful length.

This area of this cache was part of the old fitness trail.  The trail had several obstacles.  However, the obstacle at this location was recently removed.  Look for other obstacles (parallel bars and pull up bars) along the trail and try one of the exercises listed.  After you find the cache, take a rest and enjoy the views of the water.

Parking is available nearby at the Penn Yan Village Lake Street Playground, located off of Lake Street.  Enjoy this beautiful area of the trail!
