Swamp Rats™ Celebratory (Fern) Ball Cache In Trash Out® Event

Join us for a romp in the swamp. CITO. We will meet at Morris Bridge Park at 9 am, which should easily get us to the event by 11:30 am. Plan on getting wet, much of the way to the island will be calf to knee deep, with a potential of a crotch deep crossing. The trek around the island will be dry. The event location is currently wet. Update 01/22, water levels are dropping significantly out there, I do not expect any water over knee deep as long as it does not rain before the event. We will pass a wild orange tree with unusually good oranges for a wild setting. Teamwork will be required to gather the prize as that the low hanging fruit has all been eaten. Another route to the cache is by kayak, it will still require a 900 foot swampwhack to the event, undoubtedly wet all the way. I plan to have a few new caches placed along the hiking route. Also planning on a visit to Easy-Peasy to see if the sunglasses have survived. Total round trip hike will be about 6 miles, more with potential side trips. Event is located about halfway around the loop.
