Geocache Description:

This two part multi will bring you to an almost forgotten memorial in a rural cemetery - revealing Scranton’s ties to an unforgettable moment in history.

Stage 1 can be found at the posted coordinates.  Look for a 6 ft tall grey, granite stone with lilies carved onto it.  The inscription on the back of this marker – dedicated to a husband and wife – will give you the information you need to get to Stage 2.

STAGE 2: N 41° 32.0AB W 075° 43.CDE

A = number of letters in the couple’s last name

B = number of letters in the month of death

C = add the two digits of the day of death together

D = number of words in the first line of text

E = number of letters in the fifth line of text

Notes: The cache container is NOT on any of the gravestones.  This is an active cemetery so please be respectful of others visiting the graves.  Do not cache here at night.
