This multicache highlights two really cool features of the neighborhood. The multi-cache begins at Shad Park-- a triangle park celebrating the official fish of DC. This park is a favorite spot for neighborhood kids to run, climb, scooter, and hop. The second stage of this multi-cache will take you about a block away to Kennedy St. NW. When the District recently repaved Kennedy St. they added many beautiful raingardens-- with interesting artwork. Stage 2 highlights my favorite of these raingardens which features a map of the rivers of the Chesapeake Bay. Across the street there is also a rain garden with a map of the Potomac River and Rock Creek. To solve this multi-cache, you will have to complete the following puzzle.
Final Coordinates: N 38.57.A0B, W 7C.0.7DE
A=Number inside the Shad with that follows the teal path at the Shad Park (Stage 1)
B= Number of bridges from the sidewalk into the Shad Park that cross the "river" at the Shad Park (Stage 1)
C=Number of trees at the Shad Park divided by 2 (for the purposes of this, trees all have green Tree Gator tree bags)-- (Stage 1)
D=The number in the raincloud hopscotch at Shad Park (the cloud, not the raindrops)-- (Stage 1)
E= The number of letters in the name of the river north of the Rappahannock at the Rain Garden with the Chesapeake Bay (Stage 2)
Once you solve this puzzle, the cache is located a short walk away from Waypoint 2
