....................had a farm ee i ee i o
And on that farm he had.........well he used to have 6 animals but each of them has escaped! Your task is to find those 6 farmyard animals and then in turn locate the cache.
At each of the stages 1-6 you will find an animal. You need to take the name of that farmyard animal and convert each letter into a number A=1, B=2.....Z=26 for use in the final formula. You can find the animals in any order you like. Each of the animals is a common farmyard animal that you might expect to find on any British farm, each of them is within a plastic bag but you shouldn't need to remove the bags nor unattach the animals from any location to identify them.
Stage 1 - Animal 1
N 51° 16.515' W 0° 21.423' - attached 5 to 6 ft on tree on W side of the path, approx 6ft from the path.
Stage 2 - Animal 2
N 51° 16.283' W 0° 21.491' - attached low down in bowl of MTT near field boundary. West side of path and woods.
Stage 3 - Animal 3
N 51° 16.218' W 0° 21.370' - base of tree at edge of woods, you need to be inside the woods to retrieve it.
Stage 4 - Animal 4
N 51° 16.363' W 0° 21.204' - base of large tree on East side of path.
Stage 5 - Animal 5
N 51° 16.427' W 0° 21.075' - attached approx 6ft at rear of tree on West side of path and just into the woods, near a telegraph pole.
Stage 6 - Animal 6
N 51° 16.552' W 0° 21.135' - base of Silver birch tree.
You should now have found the 6 animals that escaped Old MacDonalds Farm.
Using the format A1L1 meaning Animal 1 Letter 1 (so if the first Animal was a dog the letter would be D which in turn would be a 4) work out the final location as such:
N51 (A4L3) (A6L2 - A3L2) . (A1L5) (A2L1) (A5L2)
W000 (A1L1 - A2L5) (A4L4 - A5L1) . (A3L3 - A5L3) (A4L1) (A5L4)
Checksum for ALL the figures in the final location is 51
Here is a checker in case you want to check your solution whilst out on the farm!
