It Could Be Worse Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Bulletsquirter: An evil hide in the winter, unreachable in the summer... completely overgrown with a green mass of higher than your head weeds... fun while it lasted... time to go. Cheers, Dennis

Geocache Description:

FTF

CONGRATS TO

M & N!

It was a dark and stormy night when we wuz cumin’ over to see Ol’ Chicken Watson about some mule eggs… seems he be gawn, back to Ludowici they say. Lemmee tell ya sumpthin', Ol' Chicken's Ludowici, Long County Georgia Red Mule eggs are indeed the best mule eggs this side of Savannah.

Chicken raises them big Ol' Georgia Red mules and his mule eggs go to hatchin’ every spring, and I’m in the market for one of them big ol’ Georgia Red Mules… so here we are… and now... Chicken and mules and eggs are done gawn.

Pretty little place they left, a bldg and redy to go foundations, can't beat that. We got to lookin’ around though, and there’s them bricks… can’t plow… I mean they are front, back, sides, everywhere, an they seem to attract briars, them big grizzley briars, rip your arm off briars.

I guess a brick truck went a hightailin’ it down through here and turned over right into Chicken’s yard… and kilt his most favoritest mule… and Ol' Chicken broke into tears, took up his mules and left a  hookin' it back to Georgia… just a gettin' it... had enough!

Said he left me a note in one of those little cans… wherever that is, said it was with a brick. Those bricks are everywhere, squarshed into the mud, broke n’ each one growin’ it's own briar plant.  I done called BR-549 all day and that crazy woman keeps sayin' it's out of order, here listen... she's still sayin' it .

So, if ya’ll could give me a hand with that tube part thingamajig… he sed he done left, I could still go git that mule egg tomorer. When we was lookin’ around, ya’ll shouldn’t oughta be going in that shack and all either, it’s fulla nasty trash, even left his shoes.

Chicken sed sumpin’ too about an Ultimate Violent gizmo, must be video game stuff or sumpin, cuz ya needed a flashing light.  Or part of that spy balloon, cuz he sed it would fetch the brick right away, even in the dark.

Now, let's get down to the Caching Business!

You are going to find the Micro-Bison with Chicken's contact information.

How do we get there/Park?

Navigate to the referenced lot, in case of wet weather, there is an asphalt area plus a few spots in front of the chained gate. Cross Price-Coffee to the GZ.

UV Operational Tip:

It is recommended cachers planning on quality UV ops to limit them to twilight or darker for satisfactory performance.  Bricks absorb a large part of the UV paint leaving little to respond to the UV light, especially from small handheld UV light sources.  Sealing the bricks helped significantly; but direct sunlight will still make for tough quality brick ID with a small lite source.

What are we looking for?

BYOP!

You are looking for a micro-Bison containing a bagged log.  The micro-Bison has a couple turns of vinyl electrical tape over the "O" Ring. Concentrate on finding the brick that is home to the Micro-Bison (Center Hole).

Be Safe Out There:

Stay out of the trash, your brick of choice will be in safe territory. And, Price-Coffee can get busy, watch for bikers, trucks and cars.

Good Luck Ya'll!

And last of all, Special Credit and Thank You to Charlie Douglas.

Raised on a Northern Wisconsin dairy farm, I'm a "Damn Yankee", that's one who failed to go back, for what... Pot roast, mashed potatos, green beans, and jello. Did 4 years in rural West Tennessee, 4 years in Southeast Louisiana, and then about 23 in rural South Mississippi that made us Katrina Refugees as we retired and followed the boys to NWA.  But I sure loved the South. Now back to Charlie Douglas.

A professional storyteller who weaves the best stories of the south I've ever heard. You can find him on uTube.  The Mule Egg is one of my faves... and there are several more you'll never forget. He was a Nashville & New Orleans DJ.  The Planting Bugle is the best. Now, back to the Micro-Bison nestled in the Brick.
