"Mora Valley of the Mills" In Mora's history there were seven grain mills all within 7 miles of each other. Mora was known as the 'bread basket of New Mexico'. Resteration of the mill began several years back, making progress bit by bit. New front door, stairs, back entrance, overhead deck where they threw sacks of grain out to wagons below.
The year after the mill was built, many birds made there home there.
