Cetatea Rapsone - Praid

Inclusiv cetatea...

Rapsone Fortress - Praid

The fortress was built, according to researchers, in the 11th-12th century during the Arpad dynasty. Rabsonne's citadel was part of the defense citadels, and ensured the supervision of the Bucin Pass together with Firtos' citadel. The exact date of its disappearance cannot be established, but it is very likely that at the end of the reign of the Arpad dynasty, it no longer existed. The ruins of the Rapson fortress date back to 1110.

The legend of the Rapsone fortress

After the disappearance of the fortress, the local legend regarding this edifice was formed.

People say that at one time the fortress belonged to an unimaginably beautiful and rich widow. He had lands and treasures, although he no longer knew their number. As she was extremely faithful and went all the way to Cluj, to services, she destroyed her carriages on the hard roads. So he turned to the unclean to smooth his way. Said and done. The impure one made his way easy, only the widow didn't want to pay him anymore. So the devil got terribly angry and destroyed everything that belonged to the woman. Including the fortress...

A tetőről látszik a Kis-Küküllő völgye Parajddal; balfelől a Juhod vize völgye Illyés-mezővel; balra a Firtosnak gyönyörű alakzatu csúcsa; túl rajta messze távolban a Fogarasi-havasoknak gyönyörű láncolata; idébb a siklódi Nagykő és a Szovátai-havasok közt hullámzatos hegysorok felett a hegyalján elvonuló havasoknak elmosodó képei tűnnek föl.
A vár a regevilágnak is egész kincses bányája.
