Geocache Description:

This cache is part of a series associated with the stream trail of Waimea where you can get several caches all while taking a very pleasant walk on a well groomed trail.

We won't repeat all the info about the park, but will refer you to those other caches that already have the info.

Ulu La'au Nature Park is where you will park. The cache is located on the trail for Ke Ala Kahawai O Waimea, (aka "The Stream Trail" of Waimea). It is a 10-15 minute walk along a well groomed and flat trail from the parking area to the cache. It is an easy and very enjoyable walk.

Please note: This is a daytime use only park and trail. Users and hikers after dark can disturb the neighboring residents (or their pets).

To get to the park: Look for a  sign on Mamalahoa Hwy with the Kamehameha Statue for Ulu La'au - The Waimea Nature Park. (see photo below) It is just past the traffic lights in Waimea heading south towards Kona.
