I would like invite all my Geocaching friends to stop by the Visitor Center on Sunday, April 9, 2023 between 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM for a friendly Meet & Greet! It's been a long time since we gathered here last, in 2016. This will be our FIFTH Meet & Greet here at the Visitor Center!
I am still a volunteer here, helping out with public events throughout the year. The interactive displays in the Visitor Center are available to use and there are spotting scopes set up for viewing the birds that visit the feeders in the back yard.
With more than 4700 acres of diverse habitats including sandy beaches and dunes, cranberry bogs, maritime forest and shrub land, and freshwater marsh and over 300 species of birds and additional species of mammals, reptiles, amphibians, insects, and plants.... there is plenty to see and do here!
A list of geocaches hidden in the area will be available. If you haven't found my Snowy Owl Cache, Drive Thru - Get a Clue, my Parker River caches or my Project Osprey - Salisbury Salt Marsh puzzle cache (tips on solving the puzzle will be available), now is the time to cross them off your list!
A table for trading trackables will also be available.
And since this event takes place on Easter Sunday, I thought it would be fun to have an Easter Egg Hunt! So, one dozen Easter Eggs, with prizes inside, will be hidden outdoors, around the Visitor Center. There will be one "Golden Egg" that contains a special prize!
