Geocache Description:

Welcome to Cache Across Maryland 2023. This year is the 20th anniversary of CAM. We have made this year a little special with a CAM cache in every county, plus Baltimore City.

This is one of the caches placed for Cache Across Maryland 2023. You must find a minimum of ten caches prior to the picnic held on Saturday, June 3, 2023 in order to receive a free Maryland Geocaching Society CAM geocoin.

Make note of the code word found inside each cache container. You must enter all the symbols into an online decoder in order to print your CAM certificate as well as print a claim form to submit and receive your geocoin at the picnic. More info on CAM is available here.

There are
FIVE MANDATORY COUNTIES. THOSE WILL BE GARRETT, ST MARY'S, CECIL, WORCESTER AND ANNE ARUNDEL. You can choose any of the other five counties to find a minimum of ten CAM caches.

Eden Mill Nature Center

Founded in 1991, Eden Mill Nature Committee, Inc. is a non-profit volunteer run organization that creates and supports educational and environmental programs and partnerships for our surrounding communities.

Our mission is “To provide the opportunity for all people to develop a greater appreciation and awareness of the natural and historical resources of the area by encouraging the utilization of the facilities and programs to be established at Eden Mill.”

Nestled in the pristine and untouched part of the Deer Creek Valley in Pylesville, MD, Eden Mill Park is a county park composed of 118 acres of diverse habitat ranging from meadows, to forests, to wetlands, to open recreational areas.

Eden Mill has a nature center, a historic grist mill museum, a handicapped accessible canoe launch, over 3 miles of hiking trails, gardens, a pavilion, picnic tables, grills, and offer family programs throughout the year.

Eden Mill's volunteer organization continues to grow and, working hand in hand with Harford County Parks and Recreation, is dedicated to developing a greater awareness and appreciation of the natural and historical resources of the area.

Through perseverance, hard work, and their love of the park and community, Eden Mill Nature Center and Historic Grist Mill Museum, along with over 3 miles of hiking trails, were established.

You can find a map of the trails HERE. Currently, the switchback trail is closed.

The cache you seek is an ammo can, with a chain and lock. There is quite a bit of bounce with the coordinates when you get closer to the buildings. It is hidden behind the grist mill stone.

While you are in the park, there are several other caches here, including a previous CAM cache; GC19X41, CAM 2008 - Eden Mill
