Geocache Description:

This little town deserves another cache.
When the post office opened here in 1917, and at this time the railway line was opened, connecting it to Rushworth. The following year a school opened, and a timber mill was established at the railway station to handle timber cleared from farms. In 1921 a small butter factory was built by the Kyabram Butter Factory Co Ltd. The butter factory expanded into exotic cheese making in 1950, making cheeses such as Gorgonzola and Romano, as well as standard cheddars. The Cheese factory was eventually taken over by the Heinz Company and turned into a tomato sauce factory, until it's closure in 2012. The railway to Stanhope closed in 1975. Australian Consolidated Miln opened its factory in 2019. The town once had a supermarket, butcher, hairdresser and takeaway shop.
Gargarro Bontanical Gardens is a new attraction to the town, with a cafe opening recently.
A big event held in Girgarre is the Moosic Muster, a 4 day event held in January. Also Girgarre holds a farmers market on the 2nd Sunday of every month.

The cache is hidden in a tradition manner.
Just be wary of the usual suspects when your caching, sticks that wiggle etc.

Congratulations The Blind Side with the FTF
