Our Geofest is dedicated to our fond memories of Deb Sheldon.
We'll gather at a public park pavilion behind the Smokey Bear Museum in Capitan. You turn north off U.S. 380 onto State Road 246, and almost immediately turn left behind a yellow wooden railroad depot building. We'll be having a lunch potluck. Mark Sheldon will bring a grill and cook, and yers truly will provide hot dogs, hamburgers, lemonade and water. Participants are invited to bring items such as salads, veggies, chips and salsa, potato chips, deserts. When you do "Will Attend" you can mention what you're bringing so others can adjust and also take note of how many are coming so you'll have an idea of how much to bring.
New area caches will go live at a certain time. We will reconvene at 3:00 PM. Surprise, surprise - this is also a CITO in disguise, but not an official one. We'll have prizes for who gets all caches done the quickest, and CITO-wise, prizes for who brings in the most trash and who brings in the most unusual trash. (Next time we do an official CITO, we'll start calling it the Billy the Kid CITO-fest)
