2023年 栃木県民の日
栃木県民の日に制定されている6月15日は1873年に旧栃木県と宇都宮県が合併し栃木県が誕生した日です。この日を記念して、2023年の県民の日に栃木にゆかりのあるジオキャッシャーが募りキャッシュを公開しました。

The 15th June is Tochigi Citizens’ Day. Tochigi Prefecture was established on June 15, 1873 with the merger of Tochigi Prefecture and Utsunomiya Prefecture. Celebrating this day, Geocachers loved Tochigi have published caches.

Nasu-machi used to have an old road called Tosando. It is also called Yoshitsune Highway. This is the road that Yoshitsune, who was staying in Oshu Hiraizumi, headed for Kamakura. Along the road, place names, historical sites, and episodes related to Yoshitsune have been handed down to the present day. This is Oiwake Myojin, which is the border between Fukushima and Tochigi prefectures. Now, the journey to follow in the footsteps of Yoshitsune begins here.
那須町には、その昔東山道という名の旧街道がありました。別名義経街道と言います。奥州平泉に滞在していた義経主従が、鎌倉を目指し通った道です。道沿いには、義経にまつわる地名や史跡やエピソードが今に伝わっています。ここは福島県と栃木県の境である追分明神です。 さあ、ここから義経の足跡を辿る旅が始まります。
