This cache is located where the Lynn Headwaters connector trail meets the Lynn Loop trail. The connector trail is a dirt service road which connects the the Lynn Headwaters Regional Park and Lower Seymour Conservation Reserve main parking areas. There is also an information sign with a map here, too. You cannot drive on it, but are advised to approach this cache from either the Lynn Headwaters parking area (note: the closest areas are pay parking from April to October) or the Rice Lake (LSCR) parking area (which currently has no fee). This is a popular area for hikers, walkers, dogs, and some who bicycle on the connector without ascending any of the hiking trails.
If you are using these trails for geocaching, you may find this is a good starting point. The Lynn Loop trail ascends from here, and there is a series of other caches along it, and after the infamously long Lynn Loop stairway, it continues onwards to the Headwaters Trail, the Third Debris Chute, then Norvan Falls. For more intense hikes, the trailhead towards Lynn Peak begins not far up the Lynn Loop trail, and close to Norvan falls is the trailhead for the Coliseum Mountain trail, and another into the Hanes Valley.
The cache is a very basic one: A small bottle with a log sheet and pencil inside a bag. (And a small trinket as a prize for for the First-To-Find). Please use stealth when taking it out and please re-conceal it the proper way when putting it back, because this junction is very busy.
There are not just traditional caches in these forested parks, which may provide yet another incentive to plan your route before you go. You can hike a little, or hike a lot - it is up to you.
