2023年 栃木県民の日
栃木県民の日に制定されている6月15日は1873年に旧栃木県と宇都宮県が合併し栃木県が誕生した日です。この日を記念して、2023年の県民の日に栃木にゆかりのあるジオキャッシャーが募りキャッシュを公開しました。

The 15th June is Tochigi Citizens’ Day. Tochigi Prefecture was established on June 15, 1873 with the merger of Tochigi Prefecture and Utsunomiya Prefecture. Celebrating this day, Geocachers loved Tochigi have published caches.

The mountain path that Yoshitsune and his party traveled from Mt. Tsukiyomiyama is a deep, towering mountain with rocky surfaces that cover the path in places. When Benkei saw it, he said, "It looks like armor." Many rocks are connected and overlapped. The village people later came to call this rock surface "Gusokuiwa".
A little further on, a clear stream flows. The water that seeps out from the mountain streams is clean and cool, and some said, ``I would pay five ryo to buy this water.'' And the village people came to call this place Goryouzawa.

月夜見山を出発した義経一行が通る山道は、そそり立つ深い山でところどころ道を覆うように切り立って岩肌が現れています。それを見た弁慶が、「具足のようだ」と言いました。岩が何枚も連なり、重なり合っています。里人は後々、この岩肌を「具足岩」と呼ぶようになりました。
少し先に、澄んだ谷川が流れています。山あいの沢から染み出した水はきれいで冷たく、「五両の金をだしても買いたい水だ」という者もおりました。そして里人はここを五両沢と呼ぶようになりました。
