I've never met or spoken to azdave1, but I know he is a great guy!
I used to visit the Scottsdale area 1-2x per year, and would always try to work in some Geocaching time on my visits. Over the years, I met many local cachers, hosted events, and found some of the most creative caches! Naturually, I placed a few caches and even adopted one placed by Chuck (gncaz) after his passing..
My trips to Scottsdale have become more limited, and azdave1 has reached out to me on numerous occasions and has assisted in replacing and checking on my caches. He even went as far as to scout out 4 possible locations to relocate a cache after the landscape had completely changed.
I told Dave I would be coming out to the area and he offered to maintain any caches that I placed. I am taking him up on his offer (after initially declining) and am placing this cache to thank him for keeping my caches alive in Scottsdale.
