Geocache Description:

This is a part of the Tribe’s Great Northern Expansion Movement. Enjoy the Hudson Valley wineries along this Northern section of Route 9W. This 570 acre park has more than 3.5 miles of trails with great views of eastern Hudson River shore and Catskill Mountains. The cache container is a 50 cal ammo can. It’s full of all kinds of cool stuff.

(This cache was first reported vandalized on 8/2/04, I returned on 8/3/04 to replace it.. I ended up spending more time exploring then I had planned on, in hopes of finding that perfect hiding spot. When time ran out on me I ended up hiding the cache in very antimuggle location which just doesn't set right with me. I haven't listed it for a month now in hopes of getting back there to move it. Today I was in the area but ran out of time to get there to explore more so at this point I think I'll list the crummy location temporarily... till I get back there to find that spot I feel is right. I will try to give ample notice when I go out to move the cache. In the mean time... I appologize for the gloom of the hide. Hope you find the beauty of the location!)
Scenic Hudson uses this property as an outdoor classroom for their Environmental Education Program, teaching hundreds of children annually about ecology and environmental ethics. This park is open to hunting by permit so be careful out there and stay out of the woods during the hunting season (2002 Nov 18- Dec 10th is the gun season).
