2023年 栃木県民の日
栃木県民の日に制定されている6月15日は1873年に旧栃木県と宇都宮県が合併し栃木県が誕生した日です。この日を記念して、2023年の県民の日に栃木にゆかりのあるジオキャッシャーが募りキャッシュを公開しました。

The 15th June is Tochigi Citizens’ Day. Tochigi Prefecture was established on June 15, 1873 with the merger of Tochigi Prefecture and Utsunomiya Prefecture. Celebrating this day, Geocachers loved Tochigi have published caches.

After passing Ohata, the mountain valley widens, and the stream below the road becomes a river with increased water volume called Sanzo. There was a small shrine on the cliff past Minozawa. Yoshitsune and his party take a rest here to avoid the lingering autumn sunshine. Behind the shrine is a thin waterfall, which makes a refreshing sound like a bell being rung and falls into the stream of Sanzo. The village people called this waterfall "Suzunari no Taki". From the trees surrounding the shrine to the cliffs, kudzu flowers were in full bloom. Now that kudzu is gone, it just remains as a legend. After taking a rest, Yoshitsune and his party prayed for luck in battle at Takinomiya before leaving.
Let us also follow in the footsteps of Yoshitsune.
大畑を過ぎると山あいは広くなり、道の下の流れも三蔵と呼ばれる水かさの増した川になります。蓑沢を過ぎた崖のところには小さな祠がありました。義経一行は、残暑の強い秋の日差しを避けてここで一休みします。祠のすぐ裏には細い滝がかかり、ちょうど鈴でも鳴らしたようなすがすがしい音をたてて、三蔵の流れへと落ちていきます。里人はこの滝を「鈴なりの滝」と呼んでいました。祠をめぐる木立から崖にかけて葛が葡萄色の花をいっぱいに咲かせていました。今ではその葛はなく、ただ伝説として残っているだけです。一休みした義経一行は、滝の宮に武運を祈って、ここを発ちました。
