Abbey Creek flows through this subdivision, beneath the pedestrian bridge (the bridge is not open for use yet as of the time of this publishing). The natural enviroment that borders the creek seemed like the perfect location to do a second placement for our "Abbey Creek" series. We saw a small herd of deer while we were placing the cache, and several ducks were also enjoying the pond that is part of the creek bottom in this area.
IMPORTANT NOTE - Access to the cache location is not via a straight line from the parking area. You will need to take a circuitous route to get access to the cache location. You will want to head south on the walking path, in the opposite direction from the cache coordinates - do not take the fork toward the bridge, but instead continue on the path past the chain-link fenced bioswale. Starting at the far end of the bioswale, the path is bordered by a log rail fence - to access the cache trail you will need to go over, under, or through this fence. Then head downhill to get below the bioswale and the subdivision retaining wall. From there you can start your walk toward the cache location on the wildlife trail that parrallels the base of the retaining wall.
WARNING - the trail may be overgrown with blackberry and other weedy vegetation during the warm summer months, so be prepared with appropriate protective clothing, or perhaps wait to visit this one during the "late fall to early spring" time window?
The container you are searching for is a bison tube (BYOP) - if you need more help than that, the hint should definitely point you in the right direction. Please retrieve it carefully and re-hide as found. And enjoy the walk!
P.S. Congrats to Knitgurl for being the FTF!
