Vlychada is a beach easily accessible by car or bus, located on the south coast of Santorini, 13 kilometers from Fira. It stands out for its sweeping carved cliffs that resemble the work of a sculptor, but are actually a natural process due to the volcano, the wind and the sea. It is a long beach with relatively shallow water and dark volcanic sand and pebbles, like most beaches in Santorini. Not so crowded, but organized with plenty of sunbeds, thatched umbrellas and a canteen, you can spend many hours relaxing here and enjoying the spectacular views all around. This natural wonder alone makes it worthwhile.
The Sailing and Yacht Center is also located in Vlychada, in the charming little harbor close to the beach. Small yachts and boats dock in the marina and you can enjoy a meal including fresh fish in the traditional local taverns. In addition, you can visit the Tomato Industrial Museum, an old tomato factory, and enjoy a guided tour about the traditional methods of growing and producing tomatoes, a well-known product of Santorini.

Vlychada é uma praia de fácil acesso de carro ou ônibus, localizada na costa sul de Santorini, a 13 quilômetros de Fira. Destaca-se pelas avassaladoras falésias esculpidas que lembram o trabalho de um escultor, mas é, na verdade, um processo natural devido ao vulcão, ao vento e ao mar. É uma longa praia com águas relativamente rasas e areia vulcânica escura e seixos, como a maioria das praias em Santorini. Não tão lotado, mas organizado com várias espreguiçadeiras, guarda-sóis de palha e uma cantina, você pode passar muitas horas relaxantes aqui e apreciar a vista espetacular ao redor. Apenas essa maravilha natural faz valer a pena.
O Centro de Vela e Iate também se encontra em Vlychada, no pequeno porto encantador perto da praia. Pequenos iates e barcos ancoram na marina e você pode desfrutar de uma refeição que inclui peixe fresco nas tavernas tradicionais locais. Além disso, você pode visitar o Museu Industrial do Tomate, uma antiga fábrica de tomate, e desfrutar de uma visita guiada sobre os métodos tradicionais de cultivo e produção do tomate, um produto bem conhecido de Santorini.
