Join me and others for I Love My Park Day 2023 on the Old Croton Aqueduct. Rain Date: Sunday May 7
I am starting the event at 9:30am to give geocachers a chance to gather and chat a little bit before the official trail work projects begin at 10am.
Volunteers may help improve the OCATT in a variety of ways including:
1 - picking up trash along the path
2 - working with an experienced stone mason to restore a crumbling historic stone wall
3 - removing invasive plant species
4 - planting new native species in designated areas
Parking for this event will be allowed along Quaker Bridge Road to the south of the listed coordinates where signs indicate it is okay. This street is normally "no parking allowed" but special permission has been granted on this day and signs will indicate where participant parking is allowed.
There will be "kid friendly" tasks and hopefully fun for all participants.
