Geocache Description:

When you come into town, you see Watchorn#27 prominately  at the bottom of the Welcome to Newcastle signs.  This is in reference to our local Olympic hero, Tara Watchorn, who won gpld, playing defense for the Canadian Women's Hockey team at the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics.

Tara was born and raised in Newcastle and learned to skate and play hockey at the Newcastle Memorial Arena, right across the street from here.  She played in multiple tournaments for the National Women's team, and has now turned to coaching, recently named the Head Coach of the Boston University Womens Program, where she went to school.

The cache is a lock and lock, with room for trackables and tradables.

Happy caching!
