Welcome to Walker! The scenic little beach where this cache resides might be one of the town’s most peaceful spots. Lake May is popular for swimming due to it’s sandy, gently sloping shore. It connects to equally scenic Long Lake, which despite having a little-known PWA sees very little motor use. These lakes are frequented far more often by paddlers with canoes and kayaks, so it tends to stay quiet and serene around here. Visit the area on a summer night to hear the loons or owls.
Please note that parking is not allowed in the immediate area. This cache is not a Park & Grab. Coordinates are provided for a nearby trailhead as a place to leave your vehicle while you make the quarter-mile walk to the cache. If you’re traveling on foot or by bike, you’ll be able to go right up to it.
This is a classic, winter friendly cache with plenty of room for trackables and goodies. Stealth will be required especially in summer. Have fun and enjoy your visit to beautiful Walker!
