Geocache Description:

To my new palaeontologist,

You have appeared to have stumbled upon my Geocache research on Dinosauria. Now, you may wondering where I am. I had to abruptly leave my research unattended as I felt a pair of eyes following my every footstep. Lo and behold, a clever velociraptor had managed to follow me into the bush so I must leave in haste. She is a clever girl, so I apologise for my half-finished research.

The research I’ve left behind focused on how the South and East directions of the Earth’s magnetic pull affects dinosaur behaviour. I’ve noticed that the magnetic pull of the planet has an effect on these dinosaurs, but it appears to affect them more differently according to some unknown attribute. Please help me work out what is driving this magnetic pull and where the source of this energy comes from. I must discover the source of this prehistoric force!

WP1 will bring you to my research. Here you will find the persevered remains of dinosaurs. My favourite dinosaurs are triceratops, plesiosaurus, brontosaurus, stegosaurus, and dimetrodon. Please observe their pulls to the South and East. I have managed to identify some coordinates to the source of this phenomenon but you will need to finish my research before the velociraptor comes for you, too. This should be within walkable distance - I got so close!!

Final Coordinates= S26° ??.??? E145° ??.???

Wish me luck as I escape the wrath of this velociraptor. I wish you the best in finishing my research and hope you are not next on the menu.

Farewell,

Dr Herbert Vorr 🦕
