This cache is placed in Eliason Nature Reserve. The park features 141 aces with a 1.6 mile asphalt trail passing through upland and wetland ecosystems. Portage parks are basically open dawn until dusk. No night caching.
A walk through the Reserve is something special for birders. You can hear a chorus of birdsong at various times of the day. For example, just while placing this cache my bird song app identified: Red-tailed Hawk, Red-shouldered Hawk (!!), Blue Jay, Tufted Titmouse, Northern Cardinal, and Hairy Woodpecker.
Come to the Reserve and enjoy the birdsongs!
