Explore the Honda Wetland Education Area of Glacier Ridge Metro Park as you complete this 3 stage multi. Your total journey will take you less than 1 mile round trip past wetlands, fields and forest edges. See if you can spot some of the many animals that call this park home including mink, frogs, deer, coyote and lots of birds! This area of the park closes at dark, so please plan your cache adventure accordingly.
You’ll begin your cache adventure at the given coordinates, where you’ll get a birds eye view of the area, and use your observation skills, keen eyesight and the spotting scopes to help you determine the coordinates for Stage 2.
Plaese solve for stage 2 coordinates: N40 07.ABB W83 10.DEF
Use the ground level scope and the numbers found in a circle at the top of the base to solve for ABB.
A = Line the scope up with the powerline tower in the middle of the field in front of you. Add the two digits together that the arrow is pointing to for A.
BB = Find the black W with a red star and line the scope up. The number the arrow is pointing to + 44 is your 2 digit number for BB.
Use the upper level scope to solve for DEF.
Stand on the top deck and use the scope to spot the 3 water towers.
D = The number of letters in the city name on the white tower - 1
E = The number of letters on the blue tower + 2
F = The number of leaves in the logo on the right tower + 3 (Hint: if you can't see the far right tower due to the foliage, look up the Dublin clover logo)
At Stage 2 you are looking for a small camouflaged container. Inside it you will find the last set of coordinates that will take you to the final cache.
