Located along a walking path in Encinitas with a short walk on the sidewalk to the trailhead.
This cache is mini sized, so bring micro swag. Suggested parking coordinates are N33 03.181 W117 16.024. Trailhead is located at N33 03.336 W117 16.089. Distance to cache is about .5 mi. The area has beautiful red bluffs and expansive views to the east. This locale was littered with trash before the city took it over, and they have no program to remove it. Feel free to pack a piece of it out on your visit. Since trail use is frequent I would suggest taking the cache away from the hiding place to go through it. There is a Park bench nearby. For a more strenuous hike you can park at N33 04.097 W117 15.994 and walk to the alternate trailhead at N33 03.808 W117 16.048. This route will up the terrain rating a notch. This is my first cache, so constructive criticism is encouraged.
