Do Not Enter When Flooded - Citation Wash I
Washes flow all through Tucson. Water rolls off of streets and landscape, and into the lower lying areas that wind through our city. It's an opportunity to see how human-built habitat and natural spaces collide. This is the Citation, which flows through the south end of Reid Park and meets up with Arroyo Chico just northwest of here before empytying into the Santa Cruz River. It provides habitat, shade, and migration routes to numerous fauna and flora. In this case, it flows as under Country Club in a channel and creates a natural street divider for the Arroyo Chico neighborhood.
You don't need to enter the wash to find this cache, and you definitely shouldn't enter if there is water flowing. Be smart and safe!
Congrats to co-first to find! SkyCattle108 and Tugies!
