This cache has been placed with the intention of using it for geocache training purposes for the children of H.P.A. Geocachers are allowed to log this cache but only when the school is closed. So, please do not visit between 7am - 5pm Monday - Friday except holidays.
H.P.A opened to students in the fall of 2022. A couple of times per school year they offer the exposure to an activity outside of their regular academic studies eq. ball hockey, baking, etc. Geocaching is one of the options and the children are allowed to make their own choice.
Capital Region Association of Geocachers (C.R.A.G.) worked with the teachers for the first time in the fall of 2022 to run a successful four week geocaching 101 program. C.R.A.G. was approached to participate again in the spring of 2023. There are several caches close to the school already, but we wanted to add a couple to help add to the fun.
Residents of The Rural Community of Hanwell saw the need of having a school in their community. The Department of Education obviously agreed. After much planning and cooperation a beautiful modern building was built close to Hanwell Place. Many thanks to all those responsible for making this need a reality.,
