I saw a cache near this location get archived today and I knew the location could support a large cache. So, I came out to place one. Please use the trailhead waypoint for the trail to the cache. No access from the east, as it is private properety.
I won this pre-made cache at an event by the Georgia Geocaching Association. I thought this would be a good place for it.
The host is large, but the container is only large enough for a log sheet. BYOP
You'll be entering the wood line here, so dress appropriately. Also bring water and bug spray. You'll need them in the warmer seasons. The trail out to this cache is a grassy trail along the canal. Not sure how often or if it is maintained. But, when I placed the cache, it was in great shape.
Keep an eye on the kids and pets, as the canal always has water in it.
