Questa cache ha lo scopo di farvi conoscere la storia dei cosiddetti lucchetti dell'amore. Sono ovunque, a Parigi, a Berlino, a Wittenberg o a Berlino, ma da dove viene questa usanza?
Contrariamente a quanto molti sostengono, il primo di questi lucchetti non è stato appeso qui sul ponte Millivo. Perché la storia dell'"amore eterno" in realtà viene da Firenze. Più precisamente, dal Ponte Vecchio, il più antico della città di Firenze. Oggi, a Vrnjačka Banja in Serbia, i lucchetti si trovano sul ponte dell'amore fin dalla prima guerra mondiale, mentre in Ungheria i lucchetti dell'amore si trovano dagli anni '80 su una recinzione di ferro nella città di Pécs.
Sfortunatamente, i residenti della zona si sono stufati e il sindaco ha deciso di porre fine a questo fenomeno nel 2007. D'ora in poi, chiunque venga sorpreso ad attaccare un lucchetto al palo dovrà pagare una multa di 50 euro al Comune. Fine del sogno dell'amore eterno?

Dieser Cache soll euch die Geschichte der sogenannten Liebesschlösser näher bringen. Denn es gibt sie überall, egal ob Paris, Berlin, Wittenberg oder Berlin, doch woher kommt der Brauch?
Entgegen vieler Behauptungen, wurde das erste dieser Schlösser nicht hier an der ponte Millivo aufgehängt. Denn die Geschichte der „ewigen Liebe“ kommt eigentlich aus Florenz. Genauer gesagt von der Ponte Vecchio, der ältesten Brücke der Stadt Floren. Von dort aus gelangten die „Lucchetti d’amore“ über Rom an der Milvischen Brücke zur Hohenzollernbrücke in Köln in Deutschland und weiter in die ganze Welt Heute kann man in Vrnjačka Banja in Serbien seit dem Ersten Weltkrieg Vorhängeschlösser auf der Liebesbrücke finden und in Ungarn lassen sich Liebesschlösser an einem eisernen Zaun in der Stadt Pécs bis in die 1980er Jahre zurückverfolgen.
Leider hatten die Anwohner langsam die Nase voll und so entschloss der Bürgermeister im Jahr 2007 das Treiben zu beenden. Wer ab sofort beim Anhängen eines Schlosses an den Mast erwischt wird, muss eine Geldbuße in Höhe von 50 Euro an die Stadt entrichten. Aus der Traum der ewigen Liebe?
