South Perimeter Way #3 - The Stump Traditional Cache

The South Perimeter Way which connects the south end of Gordon Drive to Steward Road West in  Crawford Estates opened April 2023.  It was initially planned by the City of Kelowna in 1995 to provide a 3 rd road link to Upper Mission with better access for Emergency services and better transportation connections for the new Ponds subdivision and Canyon Falls Middle School. Views are fabulous.

This series of caches have been placed along this portion of a wide multi-use gravel path that joins Bellevue Creek Greenway and Canyon Falls Park.

There are not many places to park or pull-off along this road without blocking the bike lanes. Parking is available on Stewart Rd West now and soon there will be a new parking lot opening a short distance up from the Steward Rd West corner which has access to the Crawford Falls hiking trails.

An area off the pathway where you can see remnants of a past fire.  The last cacher to find reported there were red ants in the hidey hole where the cache was hidden.  I have moved the cache 3-4 feet from ground zero to the north/west.  Don't want anyone else to get bitten!  The cache name doesn't apply so much any more although it's not far away.
